About Us

Established in 1980, New Farm Carriage Supply has been serving the needs of people involved in the sport of carriage driving, the fastest growing equine sport in the country. Hard to find items, along with those more common, are the specialty of New Farm. We pride ourselves in providing quality products by European and American craftsmen.

Looking for a special bit, whip or accessory? Ask us. If we do not have it in stock, we most likely know where to get it for you. The items shown are but a few of the many carriage-driving accessories carried by New Farm. Contact us for further information.

Specializing in hats for carriage driving, you'll find that an Elizabeth Cole Original is more than a hat - each creation is a work of fine millinery art, a craft learned from the milliner to the Queen Mother of England. Each hat is meticulously hand-stitched (not glued as is common in the mass market). Each Elizabeth Cole Original is fully lined - the final touch of fine quality. Although Elizabeth Cole Originals may be custom-ordered, like any work of art, no two will be exactly alike - each will be as unique as its wearer.

New Farm was the first American home of the Fell Pony, classic native breed of England. Descending from the Friesian breed, these ponies mature at an average of 13.2 hh, have heavy bone, feathers, manes and tails. Although bays and occasional grays are found in this breed, the preferred color is black. New Farm Fells were black and came from championship stock. This is a very versatile breed: they are ridden, jumped and make ideal carriage driving ponies. HRH The Prince Philip of England has competed successfully with a four-in-hand of Fell Ponies; some of the same bloodlines were found in New Farm's Fells.
